Rear Window: Dead Dog

Back again readers, I hope you are not bored with my post yet.

Today we had watched Dead Dog clip together and asked to do a post on what we had leant about the Rear Window from this clip, especially in this scene.

The clip first started off with Jeff drinking a glass of liquor with a sound of people partying in the background. A few seconds later Lisa comes out from the bathroom and show Jeff her pajamas. From this we already seen that they have no privacy and peaceful time of their own at all. Even when they are about to go to bed they still hearing their neighbor partying very loudly. Suddenly one of the neighbors screamed, Jeff and Lisa looked over to the window and quickly put up the curtain to check if there is anything wrong. After she pulled it up, the is a lady on the opposite site crying and yelling, she sounds very sad, then her husband ran over to see what happened. She pointed at her dog and said “My dog” and continues crying. The camera then turn over to the party, it is a marriage party, people start to looked over to see what happened to her dog and ask one another what happened to her dog. All neighbor around that area woken up and started looking over some walked out of their apartment to see. From my point of view this shows how much those people care about one another within the area. Then a lady in the dog owner’s house came out to check on the dog, looked up the owner and said “Dead. Been strangle, his neck is broken”.  The owner then said, “ Which one of you did it, which one of you killed my dog, you don’t know the meaning of the word neighbor, neighbor like you junk, speaks to each other, care if anybody lives or die but none of you do.” And she continues crying, then continue yelling but it was more like mumbling with a loud voice. While she is mumbling her husband was pulling the dead dog to show her. She looked at the dog for a few seconds and walked back inside her house so as her husband. The rest or the neighbors also went back to their house when everything was over. 

This show me that those neighbors cares about one another but if the problem is not big enough they would not care that much.  From my point of view if we have to be neighbor with someone we should care about one another, talk to each other and support everyone together as the lady had mentioned some in the clip. Being a neighbor is just sharing location or area, we also have to support and improve the area together therefore we need to work together as a team and build up positive relationship to create the better place for our hometown.
